How it works
Four steps, and one section at the end about what is not promised. That last part is the one worth reading, because it is the part most sites in this trade leave out.
1. The call, and the free-option check
The first thing settled is whether you should be paying at all. If the animal is in the roadway or at the curb, that is a city 311 request at no charge and you will be told so rather than sold something. If it is on your ground, the city has already published that its crews will not come onto private property for it, and the conversation moves on.
2. Working out what the job actually is
Where the animal is, whether a person can physically reach it, roughly what size, and how long it has been there. On the hillside lots around here the route out matters as much as the distance, so the questions get specific about steps, slopes and how close a vehicle can park.
If nothing has been found yet and all you have is the smell, that is a search rather than a collection, and it gets described as one.
3. A price, before anything starts
Agreed on the call, from what you have described. No work begins before you have a number. What moves it is set out separately, and no figure appears anywhere on this site because nobody has seen your job.
4. The visit
Where the animal can be reached, it leaves with the operator, and the material it was lying on is dealt with rather than the body simply lifted off it. Where it turns out to be sealed inside a finished cavity, nothing is cut open and you get told that plainly.
What is not promised
No arrival window. Timing is the operator’s, settled with you on the call. Nothing on this site offers same-day, emergency or out-of-hours service, and the operator’s trading name is not a promise about scheduling.
No guarantee the animal is found. On a search, sometimes the honest outcome is that it is somewhere nobody can reach without opening the building, and that is where it stops.
No wall opening. Finished walls, plaster and ceilings are not cut into to reach a small carcass. That is drywall work, and it is not what this arranges.
No credentials claimed here. This site publishes no licensing, insurance, certification or vetting claims about the operator. Ask them directly if it matters to you — you are contracting with them, not with this site.
Who you are dealing with
